Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Telehandler Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate a telescopic handler—commonly known as a telehandler—to efficiently move, lift, and position materials across various job sites. Your expertise will ensure safe, precise handling of heavy loads, supporting the overall progress of construction projects. Responsibilities
- Safely operate the telehandler to lift, move, and place materials at designated locations on the construction site
- Conduct daily inspections of the telehandler to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other team members to understand material handling priorities and schedules
- Load and unload materials from trucks or storage areas using the telehandler with precision and care
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, inspections, and material movements for safety compliance
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries on-site
- Assist with basic mechanical troubleshooting when necessary to keep equipment operational
Requirements
- Proven experience operating a telehandler or similar heavy machinery in a construction or industrial setting
- Valid commercial driver’s license with relevant endorsements for operating heavy equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs
- Familiarity with excavators and other construction machinery is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret safety instructions, load charts, and site plans effectively
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with team members and supervisors
