This is an excellent opportunity to join the Greenspace team and play a key role in maintaining safe, high-quality play facilities across Perth and Kinross.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out routine operational inspections of play equipment and safety surfacing, identifying defects, hazards and maintenance requirements, and undertaking repairs to play equipment and associated infrastructure.
Working across 147 equipped play areas, you will help ensure all sites remain compliant with relevant safety standards and are safe, accessible and fit for public use.
The role also involves accurately recording inspection and maintenance activities, contributing to the cleanliness and overall appearance of Council-managed play areas, and assisting with the installation of smaller play items and associated improvements.
Through a proactive approach to inspection and maintenance, you will support the continued delivery of safe, attractive and enjoyable play opportunities for local communities throughout Perth and Kinross.
Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorship for this post.

Experience of operating plant and machinery, or a willingness to undertake the necessary training and gain relevant qualifications, is essential.
You should be competent in the safe use of hand tools and small power tools and have a practical approach to maintenance and repair work.
A current First Aid certificate is desirable; however, candidates who do not hold this qualification must be willing to undertake the required training and achieve certification within the first year of employment.
