Ladybird Day Nursery are dedicated to providing warm, nurturing environments where children can thrive, learn, and grow. We’re now looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Cook to join our team and help us deliver healthy, nutritious meals to the children in our care.
About the Role
As a Cook, you will play an important part in the daily running of our nursery kitchen. Your role would include prepping, cooking and serving the meals to the rooms, ensure the kitchen cleaning is kept to high standards and follow our policies and procedures. You will prepare healthy and notorious snacks and meals, ensuring they are prepared safely, hygienically, and to a high standard.
Your Responsibilities:
· Preparing healthy snacks and meals in line with nursery menus.
- Working with safer food better business guidelines to check food temperatures.
- Maintaining excellent kitchen hygiene and ensuring all food areas are kept clean and safe.
- Manage children's dietary requirements and allergies.
- Washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and completing general kitchen duties
- Helping with stock rotation, ordering, deliveries, and basic food preparation
- Following all food safety guidelines and nursery policies
- Supporting the wider team with all kitchen aspects
About You:

- An understanding of food hygiene and safety
- Experience in a kitchen environment (essential)
