Litho Press Operator/Minder
Gomer Press is an established family-owned business in rural Wales, working with many of the most prestigious publishers in the UK to produce beautiful books.
Gomer specialises in short to medium run, high-quality work where attention to detail and consistency is essential.
We are looking for an experienced Litho Press Operator for our Heidelberg XL106 UV 4 Colour Press with at least three years of experience operating a B1/B2 or sheet fed machine. This is a key role that will involve all aspects of running the press with an emphasis on colour accuracy, registration and consistency throughout the runs. Duties to include managing ink levels, conducting plate changes, and performing routine machine wash-ups and troubleshooting and a set period is set aside for maintenance each week.
Attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to work quickly and consistently in a fast-moving deadline driven environment. Mechanical problem-solving skills are very helpful in dealing with complex equipment.
We operate a 3 x 12-hour shift pattern
Week 1: 3 x 6am – 6pm
Week 2: 4 x 6pm – 6am
Week 3: 2 x 6am – 6pm
Very competitive salary depending on experience. We offer 195 hours holiday per year plus bank holidays, company pension and on-site parking.
