Overview
We are pleased to announce a number of opportunities for full time Glass Processors within our Production Team at Dellner Glass Solutions. This role is perfect for anyone who is interested in a fast paced environment with the potential to grow and develop their skills.
As a Glass Processor, you will support our production operations by carrying out a variety of tasks within the facility. Full training will be provided where needed, and you will have the opportunity to maintain and develop your skills in a key area of our business.
Responsibilities
- Cutting glass using a semi-automatic cutting table
- Operating the glass washing machine (feeding glass in and out)
- Sealing double-glazed sealed units using hand tools
- Filling spacer bars and applying edge tape to the perimeter of sealed units
- Laminating glass and ensuring quality standards are met
- Reading and working from technical drawings and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Using quality control systems (QHC) and operating a forklift truck (training provided)
- Adhering to all QHSE policies, procedures, and company guidelines
- Supporting the needs of the business by undertaking additional tasks as requested (with appropriate training)
- This list is not exhaustive.
There will also be the opportunity to learn the bonding process. This will involve travel abroad for training.
Hourly rate increase with training and experience.
Day shift: 7am – 7pm Monday to Wednesday 7am – 3 pm Thursday (44 hours)
Nights: 7pm – 7am Monday – Wednesday (36 hours)
Shift premium paid.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in production or manufacturing is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
