About the Role
Wiser Minds Education (WME) is seeking an experienced and suitably qualified Health & Social Care Lecturer/Assessor with Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) experience to deliver and support our Level 2 and Level 3 Health & Social Care programmes.
The successful candidate will have experience in vocational teaching, assessment and quality assurance and a good understanding of awarding-body requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Level 2 and Level 3 Health & Social Care teaching.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials and learning activities.
- Assess learner assignments against qualification criteria.
- Provide timely and constructive learner feedback.
- Monitor learner attendance, progress and achievement.
- Maintain accurate assessment and learner records.
- Undertake IQA sampling and provide feedback to assessors.
- Participate in assessment standardisation and quality meetings.
- Support preparation for External Quality Assurance (EQA).
- Ensure compliance with awarding-body and WME quality requirements.
- Support safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusive practice.
Essential Requirements
Candidates should have:
- Relevant Health & Social Care qualification at Level 4 or above.
- Experience teaching and/or assessing Level 2 and Level 3 Health & Social Care.
- Relevant teaching qualification, such as AET, DET, PGCE or equivalent (if available)
- Assessor qualification such as CAVA, A1 or equivalent (if avaiable)
- IQA qualification/experience, such as Level 4 IQA, V1 or equivalent.
- Good understanding of vocational assessment and internal quality assurance.
- Strong communication, organisation and learner-support skills.
- Ability to deliver effectively online and/or face-to-face.
Desirable
- Degree in Health & Social Care or a related discipline.
- Professional experience within the Health & Social Care sector.
- Previous experience working with an awarding-body approved centres.
