Ryjock Flooring is seeking an individual to carry out duties, first and foremost, as a delivery driver from our warehouse in Sheffield, to live construction sites in and around Yorkshire. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional with a positive attitude and will need to be able to work independently or with a team. Experience driving a Mercedes Sprinter (or similar) would be required. Please be aware, the company van is kept at our offices overnight so commuting to and from our Sheffield office is essential.
If site deliveries become quiet, secondary duties will include helping out in the warehouse or labouring on site with our site installers.
The driver will report to the Contracts Manager.
Duties Include:
- Transport materials, tools, equipment from our warehouse to site
- Load and unload materials, tools, equipment
- Ensure the company vehicle is properly maintained and cleaned at the end of each day
- Liaise with our site teams to make them aware of incoming deliveries and approximate times of arrival
- Comply with all applicable traffic laws and maintain a safe driving record
- Assist with warehouse duties - including material handling, cutting of flooring materials, forklift driving (if qualified), unloading deliveries, general house keeping
- On site labouring - from time to time we may need help on site
Experience:
- At least 3 years of driving experience
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have reasonable physical health to assist in unloading/loading deliveries
- Forklift experience would be helpful, but not a necessity
- Valid CSCS card would be helpful, but not a necessity
