The role of the Chef de Partie:
To operate a successful and profitable restaurant in line with the objectives, operating procedures and standards of the company. To assist management in the daily running of the production kitchen, in order to achieve sales and profit targets and maintaining excellent standards of customer service.
Key Skills
- Follow the guidance of the Kitchen Manager or sous chef and have input in ways of prepping the food
- Enforce strict health and hygiene standards.
- Takes care of daily food preparation and duties assigned by the superiors to meet the standard and the quality set by the Company.
- Able to estimate the daily production needs and checking the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
- Checks periodically expiry dates and proper storage of food items in the kitchen.
- Clear strong communication with all levels of the company.
People
- Responsible to supervise junior chefs or Kitchen Assistant.
- Ensure effective communication between staff by maintaining a secure and friendly working environment.
- Ensure highest levels of quality, operating and food costs on an ongoing basis.
- Guides and trains the subordinates on a daily basis to ensure high motivation and economical working environment.
- Daily feedback collection and reporting of issues as they arise.
Skill and Technical Requirements
- Ability to produce own work in accordance with a deadline and to assist and encourage others in achieving this aim.
- Have excellent knowledge of ahi poke menu, whilst maintaining quality and controlling costs in a volume food business.
- Follows good preservation standards for the proper handling of all food products at the right temperature.

- Good communication skills and ability to speak basic English.

- Practical and hands on – flexible approach to the business.
- The ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen and cafe environment
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on meal preparation and food safety
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with proficiency in English
- Previous restaurant experience, demonstrating the ability to work in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and maintain high standards of food quality
