Responsibilities
- Operate waste collection vehicles safely and efficiently throughout designated routes
- Collect waste, recyclables, and other materials from residential or commercial locations
- Use mechanical knowledge to handle various waste collection equipment and tools
- Perform heavy lifting tasks regularly to load and unload waste containers or bins
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations during collection activities
- Maintain accurate records of collection activities, route completion, and any issues encountered
Qualifications
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively on a daily basis
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with vehicle maintenance is preferred
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
- Strong attention to safety procedures and environmental standards
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus
- Prior experience in waste collection or related field is advantageous but not required

Pay: £12.71-£20.05 per hour
