Workforce Solutions is looking for a phlebotomist to join Provide on a bank basis. The successful candidate must be competent in phlebotomy.
This role is community based so the successful candidate must hold a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.
To take blood specimens from patients according to the protocols, practices and standards required by Provide operating protocols, at the request of a qualified medical practitioner or other health professional.
To undertake INR monitoring using PoCT method.
To ensure that specimens are delivered to the correct pick-up location at the correct time.
To maintain stocks of containers, needles etc. to enable the work to proceed efficiently.
To keep the workplace clean and tidy.
To know and observe procedures for high-risk patients and specimens.
To maintain accurate records of blood tests taken within the relevant patient records if required, using a computerized record system.
