More about your role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Sports Manager to lead the swimming and sports programmes here at The Malden Centre which includes overseeing a thriving swim scheme of approximately 2,300 swimmers.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and develop the swim scheme of approximately 2,300 swimmers.
- Oversee the delivery of school swimming programmes, working closely with local schools, teachers and swimming instructors.
- Coordinate school swimming timetables, bookings, staffing and pool space.
- Lead and support a team of swimming teachers and pool staff.
- Ensure high standards of teaching, customer service and swimmer progression.
- Manage class timetables, teacher allocation, assessments and registers.
- Monitor attendance, retention, customer satisfaction and programme performance.
- Recruit, train, coach and develop swimming teachers.
- Ensure all activities meet relevant safeguarding, health and safety and operating standards.
- Work closely with the Centre Manager to identify opportunities for growth.
- Promote the swimming programme and increase participation and retention.
- Drive our sports programmes and identify opportunities for growth.

To be successful in this role you will need to be commercially minded and have a real passion for the sector. Strong organisational and communication skills are a must have for this position, and candidates must have high levels of customer service.
