We are looking for an experienced and motivated HGV Planner to join our growing team here at Archway.
We currently have 2 people looking after the day to day operations of the business and as work gets busier and the business grows we think we can bring an additional planner into the fold.
Your duties would be as follows:-
1. Ensuring daily work is planned and distributed the drivers in a timely manner and the routing is as efficient as possible whilst still ensuring our customers are given the best possible service.
2. Taking responsibility for the drivers and the fleet, ensuring tachographs are downloaded correctly and timely, ensuring vehicles are presented for essential maintenance activities and repairs are carried out and documented correctly.
3. Uploading information into our Cyrus TMS software and verifying the information that is provided to us by our customers.
4. Providing confirmations to customers when jobs are booked.
5. Liasing with delivery and collection points with regards to booking times.
6. Ensuring trailer locations are logged and tracked.
7. Ensuring POD information is always uploaded/available for invoicing purposes.
This job is ideally suited to someone who has been a driver in the past or has got experience in the role. We all know the issues of people trying to plan logistics using GoogleMaps and guesswork and it doesn't work. It is frustrating for both customers and drivers when planners don't have knowledge of the industry they work in and that is when issues arise.
