Job Title: General Manager our Flagship site
Are you a driven and personable leader ready to take charge of an exciting pub restaurant in the countryside outside Wakefield? We are seeking a dedicated General Manager to lead our team and ensure the continued success and growth of our establishment.

Located in the village of Midgley, our independent pub/restaurant is known for its welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and exceptional service. We pride ourselves on creating a memorable experience for our guests while fostering a positive and collaborative environment for our staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all guests.
- Manage employee scheduling, time management, and accurate reporting of employee hours.
- Maintain a well-stocked, clean, and safe bar in compliance with health and safety guidelines.
- Monitor and control costs, ensuring adherence to the organization’s budget.
- Handle ordering and stock control through our head office.
- Plan and oversee special events, ensuring they run smoothly and meet guest expectations.
- Recruit, train, and delegate staff effectively to meet operational needs.
- Maintain and update POS systems, décor, and publicity efforts, including social media marketing, to engage with our target audience.

Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a General Manager or Senior Assistant Manager in a pub, restaurant or similar setting.
- Cask ale experience preferred, though training is provided.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in managing budgets, costs, and stock control.
- Ability to plan and execute special events.
- Knowledge of social media marketing and maintaining a strong online presence.
