Duties
- Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and emotional development at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming nursery environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children’s progress, needs, and daily activities
- Support team members through leadership roles, fostering collaboration and high-quality childcare practices
- Manage daily routines including feeding, nappy changing, outdoor play, and nap times
- Ensure compliance with early childhood education regulations and nursery policies
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff and support team cohesion
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact confidently with children, parents, and colleagues
- Valid driving license is preferred for transportation duties or nursery visits
- Childcare certifications or relevant qualifications in early childhood education are highly desirable
- Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic environment with enthusiasm and professionalism
