We're an ambitious, growing business with an entrepreneurial culture, investing in our people, our capabilities and the future of our industry. No two days are the same. You'll work alongside talented creatives, project managers and trusted global partners, designing exhibition environments for leading brands across Europe, North America, the Middle East and beyond.
This role offers the opportunity to travel internationally, attend client meetings and onsite installations, while also enjoying the flexibility of hybrid working from home when project schedules allow. Applicants must be based in the UK, have the legal right to work in the UK and hold a full UK driving licence. If you're passionate about design, enjoy turning ideas into reality and want to see your work showcased around the world, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
As a 3D Exhibition Designer, you'll be responsible for creating innovative exhibition stands, experiential environments and branded spaces that inspire clients and deliver exceptional visitor experiences.
Working closely with our project management, production and account teams, you'll transform client briefs into compelling, buildable concepts that balance creativity with technical feasibility and commercial objectives. You'll take projects from initial concept through presentation, detailed design and production support, ensuring every solution reflects the highest standards of design excellence.
This is a hands-on creative role requiring imagination, technical knowledge and the ability to communicate ideas with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop creative exhibition stand concepts from client briefs.
- Produce high-quality 3D visuals, renders, walkthroughs and presentation material.
- Create detailed technical drawings and production-ready artwork.
- Design innovative exhibition environments that balance creativity, functionality and budget.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure designs are practical, buildable and commercially viable.
- Prepare client presentations and confidently explain design rationale.
- Ensure designs comply with venue regulations and exhibition guidelines.
- Coordinate graphic requirements and artwork specifications.
- Support production teams with technical information throughout manufacture and installation.
- Attend client meetings, project briefings, site surveys and design presentations.
- Travel to exhibitions and installations where required to support project delivery.
- Stay informed on design trends, materials, sustainable solutions and emerging technologies.
- Contribute to the continual development of Formation Global's creative standards and design processes.
- Collaborate across all departments to deliver outstanding client experiences.
What We're Looking For
You'll be a creative thinker who enjoys solving design challenges and transforming ideas into engaging brand experiences. You'll be equally comfortable presenting concepts to clients as you are refining technical drawings for production.
Ideally you'll have experience designing exhibition stands, experiential environments, retail interiors or branded spaces, together with a strong understanding of how great design translates into successful live experiences.
We will consider candidates from junior to senior levels.
