The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Dental Lecturer to join our academic team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in dental nursing and/or dental technology, substantial industry experience, and a thorough understanding of General Dental Council (GDC) requirements within clinical and educational settings. Alongside their professional expertise, they will bring a passion for teaching, inspiring learners, and supporting students to achieve their full potential within the dental profession.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver both theoretical and practical lectures in various areas of dental nursing and/or dental technology
- Teach students in the areas of dental nursing and/or dental technology
- Conduct hands-on training in various aspects of dental nursing and/or dental technology
- Develop, review, and assess curriculum materials, ensuring they align with current industry standards and advancements
- Provide mentorship and academic support to students throughout their learning journey
- Engage in research activities to contribute to the ongoing development of dental education
- Ensure that teaching methods are innovative, effective, and in line with best practices in the dental field
Key Skills & Qualifications
- GDC Registration is essential.
- Proven experience as a practicing Dental Nurse and/or Technician
- Prior experience in teaching or tutoring is highly desirable
- The ability to teach dental nursing and/or dental technology
- Extensive knowledge of Legislation, professionalism and ethics and GDC requirements for registrants.
- An assessor's qualification is highly desirable
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment
You may occasionally take part in cross college projects in line with our strategic goals.

As the successful candidate, you will be offered a salary of £32,740 – £40,342 per annum, based on the skills, knowledge and experience you bring to the role. Please note the salary will be pro rata to reflect the hours worked.
