Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals within their own homes. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans.
- Support clients with mobility and daily activities, encouraging independence where possible.
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals and maintain accurate records.
- Help organise and implement personalised care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Maintain clear communication with team members, families, and healthcare professionals regarding client wellbeing.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of clients at all times, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with light domestic tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and light cleaning.
Skills
- Good communication skills in English, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and updating care plans electronically.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for home care roles involving travel between clients’ residences.
- Experience working within a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately and adapt to individual needs.
- Compassionate nature with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including patience, empathy, and active listening abilities.
