Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £14.75 per hour
Main duties:
- Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
- Quality Control of incoming and outgoing goods.
- Ability to complete and check stock paperwork, including the use and understanding of computerised stock records
- Ensure your team are set up for the day, including delivery drivers with route planning
- Prepare and load orders for dispatch
- Maintain stock levels , carrying out regular stock counts
- Ensure products are stored appropriately, to minimise loss
- Internal stock movements, Inter-Branch Sales and Transfers
- Supervising team of yard operatives at a busy builders merchants
- Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority
- Equipment and Plant daily inspections; site daily and weekly H&S inspections
Skills:
- Previous team leader or supervising experience is required.
- Forklift Truck Licence is required.
- Loading Shovel / Telehandler experience is preferred, but not essential. Candidates will be considered without this licence.
- Team player with good communication skills
- Friendly manner to welcome and service our customers
Immediate start for the right candidate.
Shifts will be Monday - Saturday, between the hours of 07:00 - 17:00. Minimum of 45 hours per week, with overtime available. Working hours will be discussed at interview stage.
Contracted Hours: 45 per week
