Job title: Junior Prop House Assistant
Location: Tuxford, Nottinghamshire
Salary: Between £28,000 - £31,000 depending upon experience.
Hours: 40 hours per week
Working hours: 08:30 – 17:00 Monday- Friday.
Tramps (UK) Limited is made up of three companies. The original Tramps UK, which is our online selling platform, Tin Ceiling Tiles which again in an online brand selling American Tin Tiles. And then finally Tramps Prop Hire, the UK’s largest American Prop House supplying a variety of props to the Film and TV sector.
We are currently looking for individual to come on board and assist in the day-to-day operations of this small but successful family business. Fancy joining a dedicated team where your work really makes a difference, learn new skills and never have the same day twice?
This is a multi-disciplined role which will include some of but not limited to the following tasks:
· Helping to wrap and pack orders for shipping.
· Preparing prop hire orders, loading vans and unloading vans when props go out and are returned. In busy times we have several vans picking up and returning props so this job will involve a lot of lifting, carrying and manual labour with heavy items.
· Helping with organising the warehouse to create space, present props and keep the place tidy.
· Cleaning items ready for selling. Cleaning and fixing props on returns.
· Using hand tools and machinery for various jobs.
· DIY jobs including making, fixing, building, polishing, painting on a huge array of items.
Skills required:
· Enthusiastic with a positive attitude to work and learning new skills.
· Ability to work under pressure throughout busy times.
· Willing to work inside and outside throughout the year.
· Willing to take on an active labour-intensive job involving lifting, carrying and being on your feet all day.
Ideal Candidate:
This role will suit an ambitious character willing to listen, learn and grow in a new position. Be keen to learn new skills from carpentry to metalwork to electrical work. Have good time keeping skills and a real willingness to work hard.
