An opportunity has arisen for a registered Psychologist to join our Community Forensic Team, providing maternity leave cover. The post-holder will work within the Hull and East Riding Team, based at the Humber Centre, with travel across the region to see service users. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate practitioner with an interest in working with adults presenting with offending and risk-related behaviours.
The post has been extended to 18 months to support a risk-managed handover.
This role is suited to an experienced, knowledgeable and autonomous practitioner. The Community Forensic Team provides consultation, assessment and intervention services to inpatient and community providers. You will promote a psychologically informed approach to risk formulation and management, and clinically lead the mental illness and personality disorder pathway, working closely with the multidisciplinary team.
You will join a supportive team of Clinical and Forensic Psychologists, with access to support from colleagues across the service.
We are looking for a Psychologist with experience in forensic risk management and a strong track record of clinical leadership.
Regular clinical supervision is provided, and the Department has links with the University of Hull.

The Principal Psychologist is accountable for providing high standard clinical services within the Community Forensic Team.
Key responsibilities include:
High-Quality Psychology Service : Ensuring the provision of a high-quality psychology service to Community Forensic Services. This involves strong, effective leadership, engagement with service users, carers and partners, and a trauma-informed approach to specialist forensic consultation, assessment and intervention within the community.
Coordination and Direction : Co-coordinate the planning and organisation of specialist psychological services within the locality area, in agreement with the Clinical Lead/Operational Manager. Provide clinical supervision, offer advice, and consult on service users' psychological care and risk management to colleagues.
Collaboration and Expertise : Work alongside other teams and agencies, providing expert guidance for people accessing the teams services. Demonstrate advanced psychological skills, deliver high-quality care, and contribute to reviewing, developing and monitoring operational/clinical policy.
Research and Development : Utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development within the relative service area.
