Doggy Daycare Playleader (Contractor)
We’re looking for a reliable, friendly and dog-loving individual to join our team as a Playleader at our large site in Kemble. You’ll play an important role in making sure our canine clients have a fun, safe and enriching day at daycare. From organising play and activities to providing care, attention and plenty of cuddles, you’ll help create a positive experience for every dog in our care. No two days are the same, and this is a rewarding role for someone who genuinely enjoys working with dogs and wants to be part of a friendly, passionate team.
The Role:
Supervise dogs during play and rest periods, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all dogs in our care
Provide plenty of exercise, interaction and enrichment
Confidently handle dogs of different breeds, sizes and personalities
Monitor dog behaviour and recognise when dogs need space, rest or additional support
Keep play areas, facilities and equipment clean and tidy
Carry out daily cleaning
Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the daycare
What We’re Looking For:
A genuine love of dogs and a passion for their care and wellbeing
Experience working with dogs is desirable, but not essential, however confidence handling dogs of different breeds, sizes and temperaments is essential.
A responsible, reliable and caring attitude
An understanding of dog behaviour
Friendly, positive and enthusiastic and able to work as part of a team
Physically active and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
A willingness to get involved with all aspects of daycare life — including cleaning!
Business Hours:
Monday to Friday
8:00am–5:00pm
This includes 2 hours of unpaid lunch break.
What We Offer:
Competitive hourly rate (above National Living Wage)
Regular weekday hours with no weekends
A fun, active and rewarding role
The opportunity to spend your working day surrounded by dogs!
A supportive and enjoyable working environment
We have various part-time hours available, ranging from approximately 14 hours to 28 hours per week, depending on availability. Please note that successful applicants will be required to provide satisfactory references and undergo a DBS check before starting.
If this sounds like the perfect role for you, we’d love to hear from you! Please send us your CV and a short introduction telling us a little about yourself, your experience with dogs and why you’d be a great fit for the role.
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
