JOB SUMMARY
This position is based in a tissue and manufacturing setting and involves working with plant systems, production procedures and we are seeking an experienced operative to run daily production
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Production Operative will contribute to the safe and efficient running of the production process by operating the plant, supporting material movement, and maintaining high safety and quality standards across the work area. The Production Operative will also support clear communication and follow established procedures throughout daily activity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Operate production plant in accordance with company procedure.
* Demonstrate personal safety and help maintain a safe work environment.
* Responsible for following all safety rules and guidelines.
* Follow a manufacturing process using SOP's.
* Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup.
* Produce the required amount of product within established specifications.
* Measure finished products with precision tools, ensuring compliance with quality.
* Daily documentation and maintain logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
* Notify Plant manager of production completion and prepare the machine for next production run.
* Keep the warehouse (and facility) clean, organised.
Who You Are
* College or university graduate preferred
* 2+ years of tissue experience or previous experience in manufacturing or a related field is preferred.
* Basic Mathematics, writing and reading.
* Ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic.
* Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
* Flexibility in work assignments.
* Ability to check quality of the products.
* This role requires frequent walking or standing, the ability to climb, occasional bending or kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, and pushing/pulling rolls up to 200 lbs with assistance.
* Must be flexible towards working hours
* Load and unload materials using FLT.
