We are seeking a friendly and efficient Coffee Shop Assistant to join our vibrant team at Heilan Coo Coffee. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and have a keen interest in hospitality. This role offers an engaging environment where you can develop your skills in catering, serving, and food safety, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.
Previous experience in a restaurant or barista role is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
The position can be either full time or part time for the right person.

Duties will include:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including speciality coffees and teas, maintaining high quality standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks, ensuring all items meet safety and hygiene regulations.
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders accurately and handling payments.
- Maintain cleanliness of the shop area, including counters, tables, and equipment, adhering to food safety standards.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers in a friendly manner and addressing any enquiries or concerns promptly.
- Support catering functions or special events when required, assisting with set-up and service.
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality environments is desirable.
- Barista experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is beneficial.
- Experience in food preparation or working within a restaurant setting will be considered an advantage.
- A friendly attitude with strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience within the hospitality sector while working in a dynamic team environment.
