Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality dishes are consistently delivered.
- Manage kitchen staff by training, scheduling, and motivating team members to achieve operational excellence.
- Oversee food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and compliance with health regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to optimize kitchen efficiency and minimize waste.
- Develop menus in collaboration with culinary staff that reflect current trends while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure smooth communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams to deliver seamless service.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide coaching, and foster a positive team culture focused on growth and accountability.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, serving, and food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Demonstrated management and supervising experience in a fast-paced culinary environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices for maintaining hygiene and sanitation.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members effectively.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, kitchen workflows, and culinary techniques.
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant management is highly desirable.
- Barista experience is a plus for roles involving beverage service or café environments.
