We are seeking an experienced, proactive and highly organised Operations Manager to lead our busy school administrative function and play a key role in the continued success of our school.
This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional administrator with strong leadership skills to join our Strategic Leadership Team (SLT). The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operation of the school office, manage administrative staff and ensure effective systems and processes support the highest standards of education and care for our pupils.
As a key member of the school community, you will work closely with the Principal, Headteacher and wider leadership team to ensure the school operates in a professional, efficient and welcoming manner.
We anticipate the role to be circa 4 days per week - all year around.
Key Responsibilities
The Operations Manager is responsible for the leadership and management of the school's administrative functions and support services. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing the day-to-day operation of the school office.
- Line managing and supporting administrative staff.
- Developing and improving administrative systems and processes.
- Ensuring compliance of pupil attendance, admissions and school records.
- Coordinating school events, parent evenings and educational visits.
- Supporting financial administration, procurement and contract management.
- Managing outsourced services and supplier relationships.
- Coordinating health and safety compliance and risk assessment processes.
- Ensuring compliance with GDPR, data protection legislation and information processing.
- Maintaining accurate records relating to pupils, staff and school operations.
- Contributing to strategic planning and operational improvement as a member of the Strategic Leadership Team.
About You

The successful candidate will have:
- Significant experience in office management or senior administration.
- Experience of leading and motivating staff.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Exceptional IT and administrative skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety management and risk assessment processes.
- Excellent understanding of GDPR, data protection requirements and information processing.
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
