Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles and machinery. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and efficiency of all equipment.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and machinery to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
- Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety standards.
- Keep the workshop clean and organised, ensuring that tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
Skills
- Proficient in mechanical diagnostics and repair techniques.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and customers.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; relevant qualifications will be considered.
