Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance, as well as excellent communication skills to interact with clients and warehouse staff.
Responsibilities
- Operate various types of vehicles, including vans and flatbed lorries, for the delivery of goods.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in safe operating condition.
- Navigate routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pick-ups, including any necessary paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel to coordinate logistics and resolve any issues that may arise during transport.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving license with a clean driving record.
- Experience as a delivery driver or van driver is preferred.
- In-Date CPC training and digital tacho card
- Familiarity with flatbed operations is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
