Westbound Logistics Services are an award-winning leader in the freight and logistics industry, with offices in the UK, China and Europe. We are seeking a proactive and motivated European Road Freight Forwarder to join our established team at our Maldon Warehouse offices.
We are looking for a person with a minimum of two years experience and preferably with brokerage experience.
Key Responsibilities
Arrange full loads, part loads and groupage shipments
Liaise with drivers, hauliers, carriers, and warehouses
Monitor shipments, track deliveries, and resolve delays proactivity.
Handle customer inquiries and provide shipment updates from start to finish
Maintain accurate transport and billing records
Skills Needed
Strong knowledge of road freight operations
Familiarity with customs procedures
Ability to manage multiple shipments under tight deadlines
Strong problem solving and communication skills
Negotiation skills and commercial awareness
Excellent customer service is imperative
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Customer first mindset with a proactive approach to retention.
Analytical skills to identify trends and booking patterns.
Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
Professional, empathetic, and able to handle sensitive issues effectively.
Organised, with strong follow-up and record-keeping abilities.

FCL Road Freight System
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Google Docs.
Working Hours : Monday to Friday – 08.30 to 17.30 – 1 Hour for lunch

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
