Job Role
We are looking for an organised and proactive Remedial Quotations Co-Ordinator to join our busy Service Department.
The primary focus of this office-based role is producing accurate remedial quotations from engineers' reports, ensuring customers receive timely and competitive quotations for recommended works. Alongside this, you will support purchasing, job preparation and stores management to help keep our Service Department running efficiently.
Working closely with our engineers, suppliers and service team, you will play a key role in progressing remedial works from quotation through to completion while helping maintain an organised and well-stocked stores operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate remedial quotations from engineers' reports and recommendations.
- Review engineers' reports to identify the equipment and materials required for remedial works.
- Obtain competitive pricing from suppliers to ensure cost-effective quotations.
- Follow up quotations where appropriate and support the progression of approved remedial works.
- Purchase equipment and materials for approved remedial works.
- Book approved remedial works into the service schedule.
- Prepare and kit equipment ready for engineers before attending site.
- Assist with managing warehouse stock levels and replenishing inventory as required.
- Carry out regular stock takes and investigate stock discrepancies.
- Help manage engineers' van stock, ensuring vehicles remain appropriately stocked.
- Maintain accurate stock records using the company management system.
- Liaise with engineers and suppliers regarding parts availability and lead times.
- Ensure the stores area remains organised, accurate and efficient.
- Provide general administrative support to the Service Department where required.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Previous experience producing quotations or estimating work (experience within the fire and security industry is desirable but not essential).
- Strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and business management software.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple quotations simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience in purchasing, stock control or stores management would be advantageous.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
