Experienced Roofer – All Roofing Works

We are looking for an experienced, all-round roofer to join our growing team carrying out a wide range of domestic and commercial roofing works.
This position would suit someone with strong experience across full roof replacements, pitched roofing, flat roofing and general roofing repairs who can work independently and as part of a team.
Main Duties
Full roof replacements and re-roofs
Strip and recover existing roofs
Concrete and clay tile roofing
Natural and artificial slate roofing
Roof repairs and maintenance
EPDM and other flat-roof systems
Felt roofing
Leadwork, flashings and weathering details
Valleys, verges, ridges and hips
Dry ridge and dry verge systems
Chimney repairs and associated roofing works
Fascias, soffits and guttering
Roof ventilation
Replacement of damaged battens, membrane and roof coverings
Minor timber/rafter repairs where required
Installation of roof windows
Working around existing solar PV installations where required
Identifying defects and reporting additional works
Ensuring roofs are left completely watertight
Taking clear before, during and completion photographs
Working in accordance with current Building Regulations, relevant British Standards, manufacturer specifications and company RAMS
Maintaining a clean and professional standard when working at customers' properties
What We're Looking For
Applicants should have proven roofing experience and be confident across several roofing systems.
You should be able to assess a roof, understand the correct installation method and complete work to a high standard without constant supervision.
Experience in the following is particularly desirable:
Pitched roofing Slate Tile Flat roofing EPDM Felt Leadwork Roof repairs Full re-roofs Fascias/soffits/guttering
Requirements
Proven roofing experience
Competent working at height and from scaffolding
Good understanding of roofing and weatherproofing
Ability to work from specifications and drawings
Good knowledge of correct batten, membrane and fixing requirements
Reliable and able to work as part of a team
Full UK driving licence preferred
Own tools preferred
CSCS card advantageous
Roofing NVQ or equivalent qualification advantageous
Solar roofing experience would be an advantage but is not essential
Pay
£200–£300 per day, depending on experience and ability.
Price work is also available for experienced roofers and complete roofing gangs.
Higher rates can be agreed for an experienced lead roofer/team leader capable of taking responsibility for complete roofing projects from strip through to final handover.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, with additional work available
Work: Ongoing roofing programme
We are looking for proper experienced roofers rather than general labourers. Quality of workmanship, reliability and leaving a watertight, professional finish are essential.
Pay: £200.00-£300.00 per day
