Precon Products Ltd is looking for a reliable and experienced Warehouse/ Yard Operative to join our team at Watford Village, Northamptonshire.
This is a permanent, hands-on role working across our warehouse and yard, helping to ensure customer orders are picked accurately, stock is handled safely and products are ready for dispatch on time.
You’ll receive a £27,000 basic salary and, following successful completion of the qualifying probation period, will be eligible to participate in our monthly performance bonus scheme, with the opportunity to earn up to £200 extra per month (£2,400 per year), subject to the terms and performance criteria of the scheme.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Picking and preparing customer orders accurately
- Checking orders and loads before dispatch
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Moving and storing stock safely
- Operating forklift and materials-handling equipment
- Receiving deliveries and putting stock away correctly
- Supporting stock checks and stock rotation
- Carrying out basic equipment checks and reporting issues
- Keeping the warehouse and yard clean, organised and safe
- Working with the wider team to keep daily operations running smoothly
What We’re Looking For
- Previous warehouse, yard or similar practical experience
- A valid Forklift Counterbalance licence
- Confidence operating materials-handling equipment safely
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- A practical, hands-on approach
- Reliability and good timekeeping
- A positive attitude towards health and safety
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- A Telehandler licence would be an advantage.
