About the Role
Tottenham Pharmacy is looking for a reliable, friendly and motivated Pharmacy Dispenser / Pharmacy Technician to join our community pharmacy team on West Green Road.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing excellent patient care, works well as part of a team and is confident working in a busy community pharmacy environment.
The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the dispensary and providing a high standard of service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense NHS and private prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Assemble and label medicines in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy procedures
- Carry out appropriate dispensing checks within your level of competence
- Provide friendly and professional service to patients
- Handle prescription queries and liaise with GP surgeries and other healthcare professionals
- Support the delivery of Pharmacy First and other NHS pharmacy services where appropriately trained
- Assist with stock ordering, receiving deliveries and putting stock away
- Monitor stock levels, expiry dates and maintain appropriate stock rotation
- Maintain accurate records and follow pharmacy SOPs
- Support the preparation of monitored dosage systems/blister packs where required
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe dispensary
- Helping with OTC sales, and OTC stock
- Follow all relevant legal, professional and confidentiality requirements
- Work effectively as part of the wider pharmacy team
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Pharmacy Services / Dispensing, or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Previous experience working in a community pharmacy
- Good understanding of dispensing procedures and pharmacy legislation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Professional, reliable and patient-focused approach
Desirable
- Experience using a pharmacy dispensing system
- Experience with Pharmacy First or other NHS pharmacy services
- Experience preparing monitored dosage systems/blister packs
- Experience working in a busy community pharmacy
- Pharmacy Technician qualification/registration where applicable
