Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our childcare team starting November to cover maternity leave initially with the possibility of extension for the right candidate . The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to young children, supporting their development and well-being in a nurturing environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about early childhood education, within a vibrant setting. The role involves working closely with children, colleagues, and families to ensure a positive and enriching experience for all.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Support children's emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development through personalised care and educational programmes
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children at all times
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress, sharing insights with parents and colleagues to support individual needs
- Lead small group activities and support team members in daily routines such as mealtimes, nappy changing, and outdoor play
- Manage behaviour effectively using positive reinforcement strategies
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and organise activities that foster creativity and curiosity
- Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all children under your care
Experience
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting
- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and childcare practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and organisational skills
- Experience in delivering early childhood education programmes aligned with EYFS standards

Pay: £12.71-£13.11 per hour
