Salary: £28,000 – £38,000 per year (Depending on experience / Apprentice rates apply)

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:30 pm | 2 Saturdays per month 8:00 am – 3:00 pm

We are a friendly, highly successful independent motor factor that has been the go-to parts specialist in Holmfirth for over 40 years. We supply high-quality parts for cars, vans, trucks (HGV), agricultural, plant, and construction machinery.
Following a recent change in ownership, we are entering an exciting new phase of growth and modernization. We pride ourselves on deep automotive knowledge, rapid service, and building long-term relationships with trade garages and retail enthusiasts across Yorkshire.
The Role & Training
This is a true Parts Advisor position where your communication skills and IT comfort really matter. You will be the first point of contact for workshop professionals and retail customers who rely on you to identify the correct parts quickly and accurately.

Day-to-day you will:
- Advise customers face-to-face, over the phone, and by email—diagnosing parts from descriptions, registrations, or VINs.
- Drive sales with confidence by recommending the right solutions and sourcing components rapidly from our UK and European supplier network.
- Use our dual-screen desktop setup to navigate stock records, Excel, and supplier databases.
- Process orders, quotations, and deliveries accurately.
- Support the team with general duties (receiving deliveries, keeping the counter organised).
Who We’re Looking For
- Self-Confidence & Drive: Proactive, confident, and motivated to drive sales, build customer trust, and learn the business inside out.
- Automotive Knowledge or Engineering Background: Candidates with an engineering background, hands-on mechanical experience, or strong general knowledge of cars and machinery are highly encouraged to apply.
- Outstanding Communication Skills: Fluent English speaker with an excellent telephone manner and a genuine focus on customer service. (Essential)
- Strong PC Literacy: You must be comfortable using a desktop PC. We operate on a double-screen setup, so ease with technology is a must.
- Organised & Detail-Oriented: Highly structured with a real willingness to learn.
- Licence: Full UK driving licence preferred.
