This exciting maternity cover opportunity will allow you to develop specialist knowledge in bowel cancer care within a friendly and supportive team. You'll play a key role in supporting patients and their loved ones through diagnosis, treatment, and beyond.
We are looking for skilled nurse with an understanding of caring for patients with colorectal cancer, who is enthusiastic, motivated, proactive and autonomous in their practice.
We are committed to providing a high quality service and a supportive educational environment conducive to learning, which will ensure a good foundation for future practice.
You will be supported by our experienced senior colorectal nurses, and will work with a diverse caseload as part of a dedicated specialist team. The role includes contributing to nurse-led initiatives and empowering patients and their families through education, support, and the promotion of best practice.
To act as a key worker; delivering evidence based, personalised care through holistic assessment, care planning and evaluation of care through the running of nurse-led clinics for patients from diagnosis, through treatment and follow up. This might be via a clinic, inpatient or remote follow up setting.
To work at an enhanced level to plan and provide clinical care and psychological support to patients with a cancer diagnosis who have complex needs.
