Overview
We’re looking for a confident and organised Operations Support to join our fast-paced logistics team in Devizes.
This is a hands-on role at the heart of our operation — managing live jobs, speaking with customers and couriers, and ensuring everything runs smoothly in a time-critical environment where service is everything.
Cal Sameday is a growing logistics business working at a national level, built on strong communication, reliability, and high operational standards.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for keeping the operation moving — coordinating deliveries, solving problems in real time, and ensuring our service levels are consistently met.
This is a busy, high-energy environment where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing multiple email inboxes and live job updates
- Liaising with customers and couriers via phone and email
- Allocating work to couriers and monitoring collections & deliveries
- Pricing jobs and supporting the booking process
- Monitoring performance through our Transport Management System
- Ensuring all deliveries meet customer expectations and deadlines
- Using multiple IT systems and portals daily
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in logistics / transport / courier operations (preferred)
- Strong IT skills and confidence using multiple systems
- A calm, professional communicator with excellent phone manner
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Able to prioritise and manage a busy workload
- Someone who can work independently and take ownership
- A positive personality that thrives in a lively, fast-paced environment
