Supply Chain Manager

Overview
Tungsten West are seeking a Supply Chain Manager, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the role will be focused on leading all procurement, logistics, and supplier‑management activities that support Tungsten West’s mining and mineral‑processing operations at the Hemerdon site. This role ensures that materials, equipment, and services are delivered safely, on time, and cost‑effectively to keep production running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement of equipment, spare parts, consumables, and services.
- Source suppliers, obtain quotations, and manage tender processes.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any supply risks.
- Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to site.
- Manage transport and logistics for incoming and outgoing goods.
- Monitor supply chain costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities.
- Maintain accurate procurement and supplier information within ERP systems.
- Produce reports on purchasing activity, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
- Identify and implement improvements to supply chain processes.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Finance, and other departments.
- Support project, commissioning, and operational activities as the mine moves into production.
What We're Looking For
- Supply chain experience in mining, heavy industry, or engineering - ideally with capital equipment and long lead-time procurement.
- Comfortable building processes from zero, not just running an established function.
- Strong negotiation and contract-management skills.
- ERP/procurement systems experience.
- Able to work at a remote operational site.
- Proactive, commercially minded, and good under ambiguity.
