Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and vigilant Security Officer to safeguard our distribution center. In this role, you will monitor the premises, control access points, and utilize surveillance technology to prevent loss and maintain safety. Your proactive approach will help create a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets alike.
Duties
- Monitor security cameras (CCTV) to oversee activity across the facility and yard areas.
- Control access by verifying identification for employees, visitors, contractors, and carriers.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or breaches.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious activity and intervening when necessary.
- Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, coordinating with emergency responders as needed.
- Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and inspections.
- Conduct safety checks including fence inspections and emergency response drills.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security or surveillance roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and loss prevention techniques.
- Ability to perform surveillance duties effectively and remain alert during long shifts.
- Basic first aid certification is a plus to assist in emergency situations.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately.
