PICOW Engineering Ltd is looking for an experienced Civil Foreman / Supervisor to join our Civils & Build team.
This is a hands-on supervisory role. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily site activities, supervising operatives and working alongside the team when required.
Location: Northwest England
Rate: £22.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week, with potential overtime
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise civil engineering and streetworks activities.
- Plan and allocate daily work to operatives and plant operators.
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
- Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
- Deliver briefings and ensure RAMS are followed.
- Monitor progress and report delays or site issues.
- Maintain site diaries, labour records, photographs and progress updates.
- Ensure good housekeeping and safe working around underground services.
- Liaise with clients, site management and other contractors.
- Work alongside the civils team when required.
Experience Required
- Previous civil engineering, groundworks or streetworks experience.
- Experience supervising or leading a site team.
- Knowledge of drainage, excavation, ducting, concrete works and reinstatement.
- Ability to read drawings and method statements.
- Good health and safety awareness.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel to sites across the Northwest.
Utilities experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
Relevant qualifications such as SSSTS, CSCS Gold Card, NRSWA Supervisor, First Aid and CAT and Genny training would be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will be practical, reliable, safety-conscious and happy to become an active member of the PICOW civils team.
