Due to continued expansion, Preston Underlay Centre is looking to recruit a reliable and hardworking Class 1 7.5 tonne driver to join our small, friendly team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Based in Preston we are a busy flooring wholesaler supplying customers across North West England & Cumbria
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering customer orders in a 7.5 tonne lorry while providing excellent customer service. All work is completed during the day, with no overnight stays required.
This is a physically demanding role involving the regular lifting and movement of screed, adhesive & flooring products. Applicants must therefore be physically fit, strong and comfortable with manual handling duties.
The Role
- Deliver screed, adhesive and flooring products to customers across North West England and Cumbria.
- Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Complete all relevant delivery paperwork.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure compliance with transport regulations.
- Always represent the company professionally and courteously.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a full UK Class 1 driving licence.
- Hold a valid Driver CPC qualification and digi tacho card
- Have a clean driving license
- Be physically fit and strong, with the ability to undertake regular heavy lifting and manual handling duties.
- Be reliable, punctual and well presented.
- Have a polite and professional attitude towards customers and colleagues.
- Be comfortable working independently and taking ownership of their role.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
