To be considered, your squad must meet ALL of the following requirements:
- 1st Fix / Roughing Experience – Proven experience carrying out 1st fix joinery on residential developments, ideally on NHBC-registered sites.
- NHBC Standards – You must be experienced in completing work to a consistently high standard and in accordance with NHBC requirements.
- CSCS Cards – All joiners must hold a valid Blue Skilled Worker or Gold Advanced Craft CSCS card.
- Own Tools & Transport – The squad must have a full professional set of joinery tools and reliable transport suitable for getting to site and carrying equipment.
- Self-Employed / CIS – All workers must be registered as self-employed, have a valid UTR number and be registered for CIS.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and hardworking 1st Fix Joiner / Roughing Squad to join an ongoing residential development in the Musselburgh area.
This is a sub-contract opportunity offering an immediate start and a consistent, long-term pipeline of work for the right established squad.
All work must be completed to strict NHBC standards, with a strong focus on quality, productivity and site safety.
Key Responsibilities
Your squad will be responsible for carrying out a range of 1st fix / roughing joinery works, including:
- Sheeting ceilings and external walls
- Installing vapour barriers
- Wooling ceiling perimeters
- Erecting, insulating and sheeting partitions
- Forming bulkheads
- Installing pads
- Installing meterboards
- Installing tank stools
- Completing all works to the required NHBC standard
- Maintaining high levels of productivity and workmanship
- Strictly following all site health and safety requirements
