Margaret House (Hertfordshire) Ltd is seeking caring, reliable, and compassionate individuals to join our team as Care Assistants. We provide high-quality residential care and support to older adults aged 65 and over, helping them maintain their dignity, independence, and quality of life.
No previous care experience is required, as full training and ongoing support will be provided. We welcome applications from individuals who have a genuine passion for supporting others, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
As a Care Assistant, your responsibilities may include:
- Providing personal care and support, including assistance with washing, dressing, eating, and toileting.
- Promoting residents' independence while ensuring their comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.
- Assisting with safe moving and handling procedures, including transferring and repositioning residents where required.
- Supporting residents with daily living activities and encouraging participation in social and recreational programmes.
- Carrying out light housekeeping duties, including changing bed linen and maintaining a clean environment.
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in residents' physical, emotional, or mental wellbeing to senior staff.
- Accompanying residents to medical appointments as required.
- Building positive relationships with residents, their families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
