Potts Bakers is a local family run business with over 130 years of tradition in baking bread and various confectionery goods. We supply both small shops and bigger stores such as Co-ops in and around the Yorkshire area.
Due to the increased growth of Potts Bakers we are seeking a Multi Drop Delivery Relief Driver.
We do currently have 10 different van routes across all different areas of Yorkshire, the relief driver will be learning each route to be able to cover any holidays etc when needed.
The suitable criteria are as follows.
- You must be 25 years of age and over for insurance purposes.
- A full UK driving license, held for a minimum of 2 years no more than 6 penalty points
- This job does require a lot of lifting and bending, so being able to lift trays when unloading and loading the van.
- Flexibility as relief driver rotas may be different week on week and can be subject to change.
If successful you will join our team of drivers and duties will include;
- Driving a van safely and delivering our bakery products to our customers throughout Yorkshire.
- Loading orders onto a van as per your run sheet, ensuring correct manual handling.
- Delivering orders to stores and collecting empty trays from previous deliveries.
- Preforming pre loading checks to ensure van is in a clean and working condition.
- Doing temperature checks at each store, to ensure we meet our SALSA food requirements
Successful applicants will be working Monday to Saturday, Working any 5 out of the 6 Days
Start time could be vary depending on run, but are between 2am - 4am start until finish.
Relief drivers will have 36-40 Hours Per week. Could be more hours depending on the route.
Rotas are provided in advance but can be subject to change if circumstances require
Shifts are usually between 8 to 10 hours long but overtime will be required to finish routes when needed.
This is a permanent position that is available with guaranteed hours each week.
Pay: £13.75 per hour
