Overview
We are looking for an experienced Part-Time TIG Welder / Fabricator / Machinist to join our small workshop team in Stonehaven.
Our business manufactures downhole equipment for the oil and gas industry, and the role focuses on precision welding and modification of cast components.
Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- TIG welding of cast components
- Joining castings to produce extended products
- Welding fabricated components to castings
- Light fabrication work
- Operating manual workshop machinery, including lathes / milling machines / bandsaw where required
- Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship
- About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven TIG welding experience (essential)
- Experience welding cast steel components
- Fabrication and fitting skills
- Manual machining experience (lathe and milling machine preferred)
- The ability to work independently from drawings and specifications
- A keen eye for detail and pride in producing high-quality work
