About the Role
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Personal Assistant/Mentor to join a small, friendly team
supporting an active young autistic man in his own home.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys making a genuine difference whilst supporting
independence and promoting an active lifestyle.
Duties Include
● Supporting with daily living activities
● Assisting with personal care when required
● Meal planning, shopping and preparing healthy meals
● Household tasks to maintain a clean and organised home
● Supporting access to the local community
● Encouraging independence and confidence
● Supporting hobbies and activities including:
o Walking
o Cycling
o Swimming
● Providing companionship and mentoring
● Completing overnight sleep-in shifts as part of a 24-hour shift pattern
We’re Looking For Someone Who
● Has experience supporting autistic adults
● Is self-motivated and able to work independently
● Is energetic, active and enjoys the outdoors
● Has excellent communication skills
● Is reliable, flexible and punctual
● Enjoys building positive working relationships
● Can work well within a small team
Essential Requirements
● Full UK driving licence
● Own vehicle with valid insurance
● Willing to drive during shifts
● Two satisfactory references
● Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
● Right to work in the UK
