About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and technically minded Warehouse Technician to join our Rental Lighting team in Bracknell.
This is a hands-on role within a busy warehouse environment, where you will be responsible for preparing, testing, maintaining and dispatching professional lighting equipment for hire. You'll play a key part in ensuring our equipment is delivered to customers in excellent condition and ready to perform at live events, productions and installations.
We're looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Previous lighting or events experience would be beneficial, but we are equally keen to hear from candidates with transferable technical warehouse skills who are looking to develop their career within the AV and events industry. Full training will be provided on our equipment and processes.
What you will be doing in this role
- Preparing and testing a wide range of professional lighting equipment to ensure it is clean, functional and ready for hire.
- Supporting the accurate picking, packing and dispatch of customer orders to meet deadlines and requirements.
- Checking returned equipment for functionality and damage, carrying out basic repairs where appropriate.
- Escalating significant faults or damage to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Maintaining accurate records of equipment condition, repairs and inventory using internal systems.
- Assisting with the safe loading and unloading of vehicles when required.
- Supporting cycle counts and annual stock checks.
- Helping to maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.
- Working closely with colleagues across technical, logistics and account management teams to support a smooth rental process.
What you will bring to the role
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, technical, production, engineering or equipment preparation environment.
- A practical approach and an interest in technology and technical equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A flexible approach and willingness to support during busy periods.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently when required.
Desirable experience:
- Previous experience within a lighting rental, events or production warehouse environment.
- Technical knowledge of professional lighting equipment.
- Basic electrical knowledge or a PAT Testing qualification.
- Forklift, pump truck or electric stacker experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
