Overview
Holy Diver are looking for an experienced in- house Live Sound Technician to take on all kinds of alternative live music events. Our 400- capacity music venue, bar, and night- club hosts a range of events, from night- clubs, to day parties, to 'candle light concerts' and full- band performances.
Duties
- Set up, test, and operate sound equipment for live events, concerts, and performances to deliver optimal audio quality.
- Adjust sound levels in real-time during events to ensure clarity and balance across all audio sources.
- Collaborate with performers, producers, and event coordinators to understand specific sound requirements and preferences.
- Troubleshoot technical issues swiftly to minimize disruptions and maintain high-quality sound throughout the event.
- Manage audio recordings and live mixes for post-event editing or promotional content.
- Maintain and calibrate sound equipment regularly to ensure peak performance and longevity.
- Assist with stage setup, including microphone placement, speaker positioning, and cabling to optimize acoustics.
- Assist with smooth transitions between live bands and club-nights.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Live Sound Engineer or similar role in dynamic performance environments.
- Strong knowledge of professional audio equipment, including mixers, amplifiers, microphones, and speakers.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve technical issues quickly under pressure.
- Familiarity with digital audio workstations (DAWs) and live mixing consoles.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe After Effects for multimedia integration.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with performers and production teams to deliver seamless events.
Availability
- Must be available Fridays and Saturdays from 2PM.
- Available for the occasional week- day event.
Experience
- Must have experience in a similar job role and venue.
- A degree in Live Sound preferred, but not essential.
This position is a zero hour contract and events- based. Most of our live gigs occur on Fridays and Saturdays, with the occasional week day. You will have access to our event calendar and tech specs prior to the event, subject to change.
Pay: £150.00 per day
