Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Front of House Supervisor to join our team.
The Front of House (FOH) Supervisor role at The Queen Inn requires managing a bustling, traditional pub known for its real ales, fresh food, microbrewery, and large gardens.
As a FOH supervisor, responsibilities include:
- Organise indoor and outdoor table service
- Supervise glass collection, table clearing, and regular bin sweeps in the garden to keep the space clean, safe, and free of pests.
- Maintain high standards of beer service, supporting the team in pouring quality pints for real ale enthusiasts.
- Supervise the floor to deliver fresh pub food and drink smoothly during peak lunch, evening, and weekend shifts.
- Run shifts efficiently, delegate tasks to bar and waiting staff, and handle cash-up duties at the end of the day.
- Train, coach, and motivate bar and floor staff.
- Greet customers and resolve any complaints calmly and quickly.
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen team to keep food service running smoothly.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and enforce UK licensing and health and safety rules.
- Key Requirements & Skills
- Previous supervisory or senior bar/floor experience in a high-quality, independent-style traditional pub.
- A warm, community-focused personality to engage naturally with regulars and visitors.
- Ability to stay calm and organized when the pub quickly transitions from a cozy indoor atmosphere to a high-volume outdoor garden crowd.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays common in the British hospitality sector.
- Basic understanding of cellar management, licensing laws, and food safety standards
- Ability to lead shifts entirely on your feet, covering long distances between bars, kitchens, and large outdoor spaces.
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
