Duties
- Perform MIG & TIG welding to join fine limit sheet metal parts accurately according to specifications using various materials such as mild steel, aluminum, stainless, zintec and in thickness from 0.5mm to 5.0mm.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure precise fabrication and assembly
- Measure materials accurately using basic math skills to meet project dimensions
- Prepare surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, or fitting components together
- Assemble fabricated parts into finished products or structures following established procedures
- Conduct quality checks throughout the fabrication process to ensure weld integrity and overall product quality
Experience
- Proven experience in MIG, TIG welding and general fabrication techniques
- Familiarity with working with sheet metal and mechanical components in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations
- Experience reading technical drawings or blueprints is highly preferred
- Knowledge of assembly processes and attention to detail to ensure high-quality output
- Prior experience working with metal fabrication projects in a fast-paced environment is a plus

Pay: £16.50-£19.75 per hour
