Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Coffee Shop Assistant to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coffee, possess good organisational skills, and be eager to contribute to a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring high quality standards are met.
- Assist customers with their orders in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Maintain cleanliness of the shop floor, counters, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards.
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including handling payments and giving correct change.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
- Support team members during busy periods by providing assistance wherever necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience or familiarity with coffee preparation is essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is preferred.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Good time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers.
- A friendly attitude with a genuine enthusiasm for delivering excellent customer service. Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
